I just go here for the FRIED CATFISH....Very good with a lil zip.....
Love the message! GOD is good all the time!! The chicken was good, not heavily seasoned. Not huge portions but good. Great service.
I wasn't a big fan of the place. I'm from the South and I know good soul food this isn't it. I got the gizzards and chicken livers. It just didn't have any flavor like they forgot to season the flour or something. I'm just going to make it home it's cheaper! Also the staff not the best I got there like maybe 15 mins before closing. I ordered, then 3 other people came behind me. My order wasn't very big at all 3 items, all 3 people behind went and left and I was still there after closing still waiting for my order. Which was ok I was thinking to myself maybe this isn't a popular thing to order so it's understandable. But, when I ask the employee giving me my food she said it was very popular. So..... long wait and no apologies for the long wait. How ever to end on a good note their rolls!!!!! Are sooo good! I would come back just for them!!!
These wings are huge! Batter is good, but not quite the same as Ezell's. Chicken meat has good flavor.
My wife and I recently moved into the area. We’ve drive past Heavens Sent frequently and it looked like a decent place to eat. Finally we decided to give it a shot. Folks, it did not disappoint!I got the spicy fried chicken with two sides. Was the perfect amount of spice, wasn’t too greasy and the meat was perfectly tender. My wife got the regular recipe and was equally satisfied. This was our first experience at Heavens Sent but I promise will not be our last. Thank Heaven it’s only a mile away from out place!
I thought this place was the real deal, old school, fried chicken place. The owner was the one who helped me and you can really tell he enjoys this every day. I definitely appreciated being able to get the service from the owner, shows alot of character and class. Thank you for the great dinner, we will be back for more.
The service and food was great. The only thing I would recommend is putting more salt on the chicken and fries. don't forget to try the peach cobbler. So delicious.
First time visiting today. Food was great service was great. Definitely going back. Thanks HSFC!
We love their fried chicken, it is by far the best in the area. They have a great selection of side dishes too. Their location is also conveniently located and easy to access and park at. Highly recommend giving them a try if you want some delicious chicken!!!
Chicken had good flavor, but the crispiness was not there. The sides were good, I was not a fan of the rolls, they were too sweet.
I just love the spicy chicken strip. They are so good. That is really the only thing I eat there. The service can be a little slow sometimes but they are always polite and professional.
Quick, easy, and as always, very friendly! I would gladly recommend this place.
Great, good, and bad. Great food! Absolutely delicious. I loved everything I had. Good prices. Not bad for feeding a family of 6. Bad customer service. Called in a to go order, arrived exactly when I was told it would be ready and waited another 25 minutes only to have them forget a side in the end. However, I’m not going there for the service, I’m going for the food.
If you are in the area, you must stop and get the chicken! Rolls are awesome as well.
Good quality of food. Shocked at 1st over the price of food. But the chicken, oh my had a good church moist no greasy. Coleslaw crunch, good taste. Mashed potatoes toast home made. Biscuit nice n fluffy.
Very good fried chicken. The cuts were generous as were the serving sizes of sides. And the fried okra was worth writing home about. It is counter service, and the restaurant & bathrooms were clean. Will be back again.
spicy chicken. do not get anything else. this is the best chicken ive had in a while.
Love the GF chicken strips. So grateful.
Best chicken you will ever eat. If you like fried gizzards ask to have them cooked slightly longer than normal to make them chrisper. Their Peach Cobbler and Bread Pudding are to die for. You can't go wrong getting either one.
Chicken is good. Could have more friendly service though
Worst chicken I’ve had and I’m sad to have to say that. Had such great hopes for this place. It was very old and sooooo dry. All 6 of us hated it... now I’m just trying to figure out how to handle the left overs because none of us want them
I have moved around quite a bit, but always go back to heaven sent. I love the guy who owns this place. So no nonsense, but compassionate. Also.. Oprah loves this place lol. Great great great chicken!!
Glorious. Amazing. Wonderful. DELICIOUS. Great to find a fried chicken expert that also offers an exceptional gluten-free menu. Worth the hour drive!
Nothing special, it was like any other fried chicken. $12 for four legs, not sure how good of a price that is. It was pre made, not cooked fresh, and I get that's how you stay afloat in the kitchen when you're super busy, but they weren't busy, I was in there by myself. I wouldn't have minded waiting the extra 10 minutes for fresh chicken.
Nasty food, only flavor was the skin, chicken breast no flavor and very dry. Packaged mashed potatoes and gravy, cost too much for a tablespoon of yuck. Parking very limited, bad location. Don't be going again. As bad as Popeyes yuck.
Gluten free fried chicken is breaded, crispy and yummy!
It was all good except the greens. I specifically asked if the greens were fresh and the employee stated yes!! Not good business they were canned!!
Took 20 minutes to get a 2 piece thigh a fries. Got regular, very bland flavor. Wish it was better.
Finally broke down and tried Heaven Sent. Had to see what the hype was about. The best fried chicken I have eaten... except for my grandmother's. Mr. Stephens himself greeted me when I walked in the door, took my order, and rung me out. Seems to be a genuine, caring man interested in making people happy with his world-famous chicken. For my first order, I kept things somewhat simple... small chicken strip meal, which comes with 4-5 strips, a roll, and a side. I chose mashed potatoes and gravy for the side. Added on another side, loose corn, a side of fried okra, and a corn muffin. Everything was excellent. Will absolutely be coming back.
Ive spent thousands of dollars in the last 20 years on ezells. I chose to come here instead of that franchise. Unfortunately the service was horrible and when I got home and saw what they sold me i immediately called. The person who answered the phone seemed as if she thought i was lying about the dried chicken i got. Bro Ezell, if you check this please explain how people who look like you should be treated as well as any other customer. Please and thank you. 👎🏾
2nd time in a month that I have ordered ahead of time come on my lunch hour and my food has not even been dropped to be cooked. I will no longer be experiencing the delicious chicken at this restaurant because I cannot take the horrible customer service. The I'm sorry can you wait just don't work when you're on a time schedule
Asked for the softest freshest rolls and the kid working the register said he couldn't promise anything and didn't even pass along my preference of fresh ones to the person making my order... shocked at how asking for that is too much and the response was pathetic but passing the buck seems to be the way for the youth - no accountability equals a bunch of weak people what happened to this place very different since I was here a while back
I live on the east side of Washington State so when my friend who lives in Everett told me the history and the fact it was only a to minute drive from his house I had to go to try it. Man, I was not disappointed at all. I got the spicy white plate and it was the best I've ever had. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and it's so moist and juicy I have no idea how they do it. My only complaint is the lack of substitutions because I wanted Mac n cheese for my side but was told it isn't allowed. Trust me, you're only cheating yourself if you don't go!
Their spicy chicken is the best! The staff were courteous and helpful. My friends thought it was great too. Even the picky teenager liked it and that is a hard sell usually.
First time tried the spicy chicken. It tastes way better than the original chicken. Since I can't stand spicy, I had never tried the spicy chicken before. This time they told me I have to waited 15 minutes for the original chicken, so I decided to give it a try. The spicy chicken is not very hot, compare to non-spicy chicken, it's more juicy and taste more rich. Don't be afraid to try the spicy chicken if you like me don't usually have spicy food. I have had Heaven Sent fried chicken many times, but trying the spicy chicken is the first time I realized why people say Heaven Sent Fried Chicken is good.
Easily the best friend chicken I've ever had. Truly Heaven Sent.
Food is ehhh. Place is a mess. No plasticware for butter. Have to ask for butter after receiving your rolls. Fries are mehhh. Hole in the window. Price is obsurd for the quality of food. Kitchen staff have no idea what's in their batter. Would not recommend.
The quality of the chicken is good. You can taste the fact that the chicken is clean. The crust is crunchy, but lacking a bit in flavor. The flavor didn't pop for me. However, the restaurant is clean and the customer service is on point
Great chicken and fries ocra
Good fried chicken. Not too greasy. Sides are tasty. Fast service. Price ok.
Hands down the best chicken in the area, Ezell himself cooks at this location and its awesome!
The cashier was friendly and though she needed a little help remembering what size drink came with a large combo. Got it sorted out well enough. The #1 combo I ordered (original) came out hot and fresh, though in my opinion could've used a bit less pepper in the mashed potatoes and gravy. The fries were delicious (my sides) as was the roll. Still doing well even though the owners ex-wife got to keep the original name for the franchise.
By far the best fried chicken around. Great sides too. Sometimes the service can be a wee bit slow, but not a problem.
me and my two other friends decided to go here instead of panda express. that was a terrible idea. flavor less food, very dirty place. old oil, they fry their chicken with their fish - very disgusting. outdated, no air conditioning. an employee complained on how miserable it was in there. i think the chicken is so over priced because of how much grease comes with them. gordon ramsey needs to fix this place
It was ok. Staff was friendly. Food was a little pricey. My 3 piece small meal was plenty of food. Roll was fresh, chicken...average.
The staff was super friendly I got a small spicy chicken strip combo well done at first it wasn't well done but they fixed the issue with no hesitation it tasted great highly recommend this place come for the food stay for the friendly vibe 🙏🏾💕
Got the number 1 two piece chicken with mashed potatoes and fries for my son. They have gluten free chicken which is what my wife had.
The Best crispy spicey juicy chicken🌟& fluffy tasty rolls🌟w/ excellent customer service🌟
I'm from the South, so I definitely consider myself a chicken connoisseur. This is delicious! I hope I find a way to eat here again.
Delicious fried chicken. Crispy, seasoned and my favorite are the spicy tenders.
